Employee Spotlight – Dan Webb

Based in Softlink’s UK office, Dan is a part of our Northern Hemisphere support team. We get to know more about Dan in the third of our Softlink Employee Spotlights.

What are the main responsibilities of your position?

  • Supporting our users in their day to day use of Liberty, helping with any issues they face to help make sure they get the most of the system.
  • Implementations
  • Looking after the hosted systems
  • I’m also the first point of contact for any and all queries in the UK so I handle some sales/accounts stuff too

When did you join Softlink and what do you like the most about working here?

6th August 2012, 2 days after my 19th birthday. They pay me, which is great. I like working with the IC team, it’s nice to interact with people around the world and everyone is easy to get on with and very knowledgeable so I am always learning new things.

What is your favorite type of food? If there is a list of them so much the better!

  1. Pizza (except Hawaiian)
  2. Jaffa Cakes
  3. Steak
  4. Basically any other meat
  5. Cake (except coffee)

Honestly, that top 2 is very close.

Which 4 or 5 people, alive or dead, would you love to share your favourite food with and why?

Dwayne Johnson because he is my idol (see below) My grandparents, it’d just be nice to see them again

If you could be anyone else for a day, who would that be and why?

Dwayne Johnson because he is one of the most inspiring people I have ever seen in terms of his work ethic, values and success. He also just looks like he is the most fun and it’d be nice to bench press a car or something. (You may be picking up on the slight man crush here).

Where in the world would you like to visit and why?

  • Scotland and Canada, I have family from there
  • Las Vegas, it has an insane atmosphere and it’s my favourite place in the world
  • Bora Bora, the little huts and the clear water look cool, seems like it’d be a good place to relax
  • Africa, lions, also it’s a beautiful country that I’d love to see again
