Softlink Central Europe hosted a Softlink Open Day in Sibiu, Romania, marking the beginning of the 34th National Conference of the Romanian Librarians’ Association which ran from September 3 – 6 2024. The open day was designed to update the library community on the latest updates, features and solutions on offer.

The open day featured presentations, live demonstrations, workshops, and equipment displays, offering attendees hands-on experiences with our solutions. Presenters from the USA, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, and Romania shared their insights through speeches and presentations. 

Liberty Digital: AI Innovations for Modern Libraries 

The event’s opening workshop, titled “Liberty Digital: Library Powered by AI,” was delivered by Csaba Giras, CEO of Softlink Central Europe. The session introduced Liberty’s latest features, including those powered by AI, focusing on: 

• Digital dashboard for streamlined resource management
• AI-assisted cataloguing for efficient workflows
• Support for digital resource integration
• A modern and customizable interface
• RSS and OPAC connectivity with other websites
• The Liberty Link mobile app offering enhanced tools for librarians
  

Engagement and Participation 

The event attracted significant interest, with 120 participants attending in person and over 100 joining online through Zoom. Attendees had the opportunity to explore how Softlink’s AI-driven tools could transform library management, making information more accessible and operations more efficient.
