Meet Alyx, one of the friendly faces behind our support team. Based on the west coast of the USA, she’s one of our secret weapons, from solving tech puzzles to running customer bootcamps, she’s a multitasker who thrives on helping others.

What are the main responsibilities of your position? What’s a typical day like for you at Softlink IC?

As part of the support team, I handle a variety of tasks! I help clients with technical issues, train users to get the most out of our products and help keep our systems running smoothly.

I also pass along feature requests to our development team, check in with customers to make sure they’re having the best experience possible, and lead bootcamp sessions in the U.S.

My job is pretty great!

When did you join Softlink IC and what do you like most about working here?

 I started working for Softlink in October of 2023 and it’s been an experience I feel very grateful for. My favorite thing about working here is the culture. There’s such a consistent vibe of positivity and teamwork, it’s hard not to feel like you are part of a community.

What was the last book you read (or listened to)?

ABA Visualized! It’s about applied behavior analysis, and super interesting so far. I highly recommend it.

What’s one thing about your job that surprises people when you tell them?

Travel! We get to go places and meet our awesome clients, and I think my friends are always pretty surprised when they hear about the cool opportunities Softlink provides us with in that regard. That means hopefully I’ll get to meet you one of these days during an event, too!

What is your favorite type of food? (If there’s a list, even better!)

That’s a tough one. I like most food, but I think my favorites are:

• Any form of stir fry
• Pad Thai
• Green Curry

Which 4 people, alive or dead, would you love to share your favorite food with and why?

My son, Danny Go, Joel from the Mik Maks, and Blippi. My son would for sure get a kick out of that, so I think it’d be a lot of fun.

If you could be anyone else for a day, who would that be and why?

Do they have to be real? If not, Nightcrawler from the X-Men! Teleportation would be awesome –  I’d zip around everywhere, see everything, and then be back home before dinner time. If it has to be a real person, gentle pass.

What is one place in the world on your bucket list you most want to visit? Why?

I really couldn’t just pick one place; the world has a lot to offer. I think anywhere in the woods is fairly high up on my list though. I’d also like to see the Cliffs in Ireland and Paddy Fields in Vietnam! I like looking at nature, so that’s my only real rationale.
