The American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) Annual Meeting & Conference, a much-awaited event in the legal information community, took place in Boston, MA from July 15 to July 18 this year. Sarah, Jeo, Chandler, and of course Alex the Alpaca, were there ready to welcome delegates at AALL’s biggest conference yet! The team was thrilled to attend and showcase our innovative solutions for law libraries and legal information professionals.

Showcasing Liberty and illumin

Our two flagship products, Liberty and illumin, were the stars of our booth. Liberty, our cloud-based Integrated library system (ILS), simplifies workflows, enhances user experience, and enables seamless integration with other platforms. On the other hand, illumin, our web-based research and request management system, empowers law firms and organizations to track, manage and provide valuable analytics for the research team.

We had the opportunity to demonstrate how Liberty and illumin can work together to provide a comprehensive solution for the needs of legal information professionals. The ability to easily search, access, and share information across both systems, as well as integrate them with other platforms and tools, generated a lot of interest among the attendees.

Connecting With the Legal Information Community

The conference was an excellent platform for us to connect with our existing customers and introduce our products to potential new users. Attendees’ insightful feedback not only helped us understand their challenges and expectations better, but we also gained invaluable insights into the specific needs of legal information professionals.

This has been key to further understanding their day-to-day experiences in libraries or knowledge centres, dealing with complex and varied legal information requirements. We were delighted by the positive responses to Liberty and illumin, with praise for our products’ functionality, flexibility, and user-friendliness.

Alex’s Adventures In Boston

After the hustle and bustle of the AALL 2023 conference, our beloved mascot, Alex the Alpaca, decided to embark on a sightseeing adventure around Boston.

With his innate curiosity and love for exploration, Alex trotted down to capture a selfie outside Fenway Park, one of the city’s top attractions and cruised around on the Swan Boats in Boston Common. Of course, no trip would be complete without a visit to Harvard and MIT! Alex’s thoroughly enjoyed his adventures in Boston.
