Based in Softlink’s Australian office, Emily is part of our talented Development team. We get to know a little bit more about Emily in our latest Softlink Information Centres Employee Spotlight series.

What are the main responsibilities of your position?

Developing and maintaining both the illumin and Liberty products. It’s all about “making the manager look good”!

When did you join Softlink and do you like most about working here?

Almost 4 years ago, just after graduation. I enjoy the great work-life balance, high level of autonomy, variety of challenges and weekly ice cream.

What is your favorite type of food? If there is a list of them so much the better!

I love Vietnamese – pho, or banh mi… and Thai. Anything with basil, mint, coriander.

Which 4 people, alive or dead, would you love to share your favourite food with and why?

Seriously, share my food? Is this a trick question? Nobody! I really enjoy my food… Okay, okay, if I really had to share my favourite food, it would probably be with old interstate work/university friends I haven’t seen in a while.

If you could be anyone else for a day, who would that be and why?

Can a nationality be referred to as an “anyone”? I’ll take that as a yes and say being a North Korean – for a very different perspective.

Where in the world would you like to visit and why?

South America would be nice. Stopping by the Galapagos Islands and (perhaps if I win the lottery) finishing with a quick boat trip to Antarctica.
